The Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN), under the leadership of its Registrar/Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Babagana Mustapha, has officially submitted a proposed Job Description and Scheme of Service for Health Information Management to the National Salary, Income and Wages Commission (NSIWC).

The proposal was developed in collaboration with the Association of Health Records and Information Management Professionals of Nigeria (AHRIMPN), represented by three members of its National Executive Council (NEC), led by the National Secretary, Suleiman Mu’azu.

The submission was made on February 27, 2026, at the HRORBN Head Office in Abuja.

The proposed job schedule is designed to address both current and emerging challenges confronting Health Information Management practitioners.

It is expected to significantly enhance practitioners’ welfare, strengthen career progression pathways, and improve overall working conditions within the profession.
