HRORBN SETS TO COMMENCE COMPUTER BASED EXAMINATION - Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN)

The Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN) is poised to introduce computer-based testing (CBT) for its July 2024 National Regular Examination, according to the Registrar, Alhaji Babagana Mustapha. This announcement was made during a workshop on CBT implementation, held at the National Hospital Trauma Center, Abuja.
Alhaji Babagana urged heads of training institutions to intensify efforts and conduct orientation programs to facilitate a seamless transition to CBT.
This digital transformation aligns with the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate’s renewed hope agenda, which encompasses the digitization of all board activities, including indexing, licensing, exam registration, and CBT examination conduct.

The Registrar expressed concern about the progress and challenges faced by the board in implementing CBT examinations, which require IT competency. During the practical session, Mr. Haliry of Quanby Consultants highlighted the benefits of CBT examinations, including increased efficiency, cost savings, elimination of exam malpractice, and instant grading, among others. The approved JAMB CBT centers across the country will be utilized for this purpose.
